Overview
Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) rting Hourly Rate: $15.50 USD per hour.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
- Assist guests to solve their specific needs with a welcoming approach.
- Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store and in your area to resolve issues and improve the guest experience.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
- Know and explain the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
- Explain how to use Target App features and offerings, including Wallet; be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and guide guests to enroll and use these features.
- Handle returns following register prompts; collaborate with Leaders as needed while following Target policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and store supplies during open hours while remaining available to guests.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive Up orders, and related duties with compliance with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws where relevant).
- Perform other duties based on business needs.

- You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times).

- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work independently or with a team.
- Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Accurate checkout operations, transactions, and support for cash office tasks as needed.
- Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift.
- Adaptability to varying temperatures and conditions, including Drive-Up and carryout duties.
