Travel Intensive Care RN | Hampton, Virginia

This opportunity offers an experienced Registered Nurse the chance to provide critical care in an ICU or Stepdown unit. The role focuses on delivering expert nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions. You will work in a fast-paced clinical environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU or Stepdown unit
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
• Utilize advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) protocols when needed
• Communicate patient status and changes to the healthcare team
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of care provided
• Provide patient and family education on conditions and treatments

Qualifications:

• Valid RN licensure with current credentials
• Experience in ICU or Stepdown nursing strongly preferred
• Ability to handle high-acuity patients and complex clinical situations
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Night shift hours
