ShiftNights - 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Responsibilities- Assessing/admitting patients
- Rounding checks
- Giving medications
- Talking with family members
- Responsible for the overall care of patients
- Work with a team to ensure the best care for patients

- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
- RN-Associate’s Degree, or
- RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or
- RN-Diploma, or
- RN-Master’s Degree
The Medicine Unit - 4 James is looking for qualified nurses who will provide care to acute and chronic care patients with a variety of comorbidities from the age of 18 years and up, with a special love for our senior population. We are looking for new grads to seasoned nurses who are compassionate, dependable, flexible and hardworking.

At Sentara we believe in setting our nurses up for success from day one. All new graduates are automatically enrolled—no extra paperwork or applications. The program offers opportunities to enter specialties such as Medical Surgical nursing, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency Care, the Operating Room, or Women’s Health.
Available across all 12 Sentara hospitals, this immersive program combines practical skills with hands-on training, professional development, and mentoring to empower you to transition into your nursing career.
