Nurse LPN - Assertive Community Treatment; ACT Program

Overview

Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (some weekends and holidays). Annual Salary $53,253. This onsite position at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board offers high-quality care and collaboration in a team environment.

As a full-time LPN, you will play a crucial role in the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. This onsite position involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, primarily Schizophrenia. You will conduct psychiatric assessments, administer medications, offer therapeutic support, and engage in crisis intervention to ensure client well-being. You will maintain accurate medical records and work within regulatory standards to support our customer-centric and empathetic care approach.

To excel as a full-time LPN in the ACT program, candidates must possess the following requirements:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
• One (1) year of experience in medication administration in a substance abuse treatment, psychiatric setting, or long-term care facility including the dispensing of narcotic medication.
• Valid driver
  25s license is required for community-based client support.
