Pay From: $38 per hour

• Experienced Registered Nurse
• 2+ years of experience as Operating Room Registered Nurse
• Scrubbing experience
• Valid Virginia Registered Nurse Licensure
• Active BLS and ACLS
• PALS highly preferred

• Work with all members of the health care team to provide optimal care to the patient throughout his/her surgical experience
• Maintain a friendly, positive and caring attitude with all patients, physicians and staff
• Maintain excellent physical and mental health
• Provide patient education during all phases of the patient experience at the Center
• Assist the physician during surgery and procedures by functioning in the circulating role; coordinate activities of the Anesthesiologist, Surgical Technologist, and Surgeon to ensure safe patient care
• Ensure patient safety through appropriate transport, transfer and positioning of patient
• Ensure appropriate levels of supplies and equipment to provide safe patient care
• Monitor the environment to ensure sterile technique is maintained throughout the procedure
• Operate and troubleshoot OR surgical equipment
• Perform professional intra‑operative nursing care of the patient by utilizing the nursing care process and making a plan for patient care
• Be flexible, open to change, and handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Work with other nursing staff in the pre‑op, OR, and PACU, as well as with ancillary staff, to provide safe, efficient patient care
