About the roleAs a full-time LPN, you will play a crucial role in our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. This onsite position involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, primarily Schizophrenia. As an LPN in this role, you will conduct psychiatric assessments, administer medications, offer therapeutic support, and engage in crisis intervention to ensure the well-being of our clients.
Your dedication to maintaining accurate medical records and working within regulatory standards will contribute to our customer-centric and empathetic care approach.
To excel as a full-time LPN in the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, candidates must possess essential skills and qualifications.
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
- One (1) year of experience in medication administration in a substance abuse treatment, psychiatric setting, or long-term care facility including the dispensing of narcotic medication.
- Valid driver s license is required for community-based client support.
