Position Summary

Responsible for developing, validating, and maintaining CNC programs used in the manufacture of defense and aerospace components. Ensures all programming activities comply with contractual, customer, and quality system requirements, including AS9100 and applicable export control regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Create, edit, and maintain CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
  • Interpret controlled engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and GD&T
  • Ensure CNC programs, setup sheets, and tooling documentation are revision-controlled and traceable
  • Support first article inspections (AS9102) and initial production validation
  • Select approved tooling and machining strategies in accordance with engineering and quality requirements
  • Support production troubleshooting while maintaining process compliance
  • Participate in corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits as required
  • Comply with company quality policies, cybersecurity requirements, and export control regulations (ITAR/EAR)
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • [X]+ years CNC programming experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in CAM software and G-code programming
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience working under AS9100 or equivalent quality systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
  • Experience in defense or aerospace manufacturing
  • Familiarity with ITAR/EAR-controlled environments
  • Experience machining tight-tolerance components and specialty materials

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation control
  • Ability to follow controlled processes and change management procedures
  • Effective communication with Engineering, Quality, and Production
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
