OverviewThe Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms, hallways, and public areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction at the hotel.
Responsibilities- Pre-Cleaning and Stocking: complete pre-cleaning duties including stocking room supplies and tools on the assigned cart, attending morning stand-up, and assisting with soiled linen handling in the housekeeping laundry area.
- Clean and Stock Rooms: thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift.
- Additional Cleaning Projects: perform assigned tasks in storage rooms, public spaces, guest laundry, and deep cleaning activities; ensure front and back of house areas are well-organized and clean.
- Happy Guests:
Management performance ratings; guest satisfaction scores and intent to return. - Spotless Cleanliness: GM/AGM spot checks, leadership walk-throughs, guest ratings and reviews.
- Product Consistency & Quality: checklist tracking; management performance ratings; guest ratings.
- Teamwork: management performance ratings and collaborative workplace dynamics.
- Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise, or related field is preferred.
- Can-do attitude with willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to work well under pace and pressure.
- Effective listening and conflict resolution; clear communication skills.
- Hospitality and guest service mindset.
- Age 18 or older.
- Willingness to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Clock-in/out discipline: punctuality for shifts and breaks; report any absences with notice as directed.
- Breaks: clock in/out for breaks at scheduled times.
Physical requirements include and are representative of those needed to perform essential functions, such as:
- Stooping, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking.
- Repetitive motions of wrists/hands/fingers; lifting items like linens and vacuums.
