Overview
Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is currently hiring a Full Time, Day Shift Echocardiographer for the Noninvasive Lab. $10,000 sign‑on bonus is available to qualified candidates.
Hours- Monday – Friday: 7 am‑3:30 pm or 8 am‑4:30 pm, with call and work every 5th week – off Friday prior to weekend call, but work Saturday and Sunday 8 am‑12 pm, on call from 12 pm‑8 am, and then on call Sunday from 12 pm‑6 am.
Performs two‑dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, trans‑esophageal echocardiograms, and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the diagnosis of heart disease and blood‑flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application.
Education- Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Cardiovascular Technology) or a high‑school diploma with significant experience considered in lieu of education, in accordance with IAC Guidelines.
- Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS, RCS or RDCS) within 12 months of hire
- ACLS not required for hire but must be obtained within 90 days
- BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
