The Behavior Technician (RBT/BT) provides one-on-one and group Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients, implementing individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision. Responsibilities include data collection, maintaining client safety, professional collaboration, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, ongoing clinical training, and opportunities for professional development in a family-centered therapeutic environment.

Salary: $24-30/hour

Shift type: Part time, afternoon

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct client care in one-on-one and group settings, following the protocols outlined in the treatment plan created by BCBA

  • Collect and record data on client behavior and progress using Central Reach

  • Maintain a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment for clients and families

  • Work collaboratively and communicate professionally with other therapists, providers, BCBAs, caregivers, and other professionals for effective program implementation

  • Ability to take direction and feedback from the supervising staff (BCBA/BCaBA)

  • Complete required training related to organization guidelines, compliance, state and federal regulations

  • Accurately record appointments in practice management software daily and comply with billing and payroll policies

  • Adhere to RBT ethics code and ensures all patient privacy policies, HIPAA compliance and confidentiality

  • Communicate with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding client progress and behavioral intervention findings

  • Collaborate with BCBAs to adjust therapy plans based on client progress and emerging needs

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of ABA experience preferred, but not required

  • Knowledge of general ABA practices

  • At least 18+ years of age

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
