Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of custom designs.

• Assist in product development from concept to completion.

• Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety, quality, and industry standards.

• Collaborate with engineers and clients to refine design specifications and ensure the product meets both functional and cost-efficient construction requirements.

• Review and modify designs as necessary based on feedback.

• Produce accurate technical drawings and models of individual parts for manufacturing processes.

• Maintain organized documentation and design records.

• Troubleshoot design issues and provide innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a drafter/designer, preferably in a custom design or manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor).

• Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to produce 1st time quality designs and drawings.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, engineers, and production teams.

Desired Qualifications:

• A degree or certification in Drafting, Design, or a related field.

• 3 - 5 years minimum relevant experience.

• Understanding of GD&T.

• Experience in Microsoft Office products Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.

• Experience in lofting.

• Experience in developing 2D cutting files for CNC metal cutting purposes.

• Experience in heavy structural steel welded designs.

• Experience in CVN and Submarine structural design and drafting.

• Experience in ASME Code heat exchanger and pressure vessel design.
