Electrical Engineer

We are seeking motivated Entry-Level Electrical Designers to join a large utility engineering and network construction team. This role supports Outside Plant (OSP) electrical design for distribution projects, focusing on drafting, design, and coordination under the guidance of senior engineers.

This person can start as soon as 12/08/2025

• Assist in electrical design for utility distribution projects
  , including overhead and underground systems.
• Prepare detailed design drawings and layouts using AutoCAD
  .
• Support senior designers and engineers in developing project specifications and documentation.
• Conduct field surveys and gather data for design planning.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, safety standards, and client specifications
  .
• Maintain accurate project records and assist with QA/QC processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project timelines and deliverables.

• Basic knowledge of electrical distribution principles and utility standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and design tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow engineering guidelines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience with GIS mapping tools for spatial analysis.
• Familiarity with telecommunications or OSP design principles

• Understanding of permitting processes and utility coordination.

• Associate degree or coursework in Electrical Engineering
  , Engineering Technology
  , or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Internship or academic experience in electrical design or utility projects is a plus.
• Office-based with occasional field visits for surveys.
• Collaborative team setting with opportunities for mentorship and skill development.
