Afterschool Teacher

Summary

Instruct school-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school in preschool, day care center, or other child development facility.

• Monitor students during after‑school program hours to ensure safety, engagement, and appropriate behavior
• Supervise students during holiday breaks, school closures, and summer activities
• Maintain a safe and organized environment by enforcing program rules and school policies
• Assist with student check‑in and check‑out procedures, ensuring accurate attendance tracking
• Support students with homework, enrichment activities, and structured play
• Facilitate age‑appropriate activities, workshops, or group games as assigned
• Provide conflict resolution and positive behavior guidance when needed
• Communicate promptly and professionally with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student concerns or incidents
• Assist in preparing snacks, organizing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of program areas
• Report accidents, incidents, and unusual behaviors to program leadership in accordance with policy
• Collaborate with team members to plan activities, events, and supervision schedules
• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all safety, emergency, and child protection procedures
