Job Description

The Trades Program Support Technician directly supports Workforce Development’s Manufacturing, Skilled Trades, and Transportation (MSTT) department. This position helps meet all MSTT program needs, including maintaining program inventories, procuring supplies and equipment, ensuring all instructional materials are prepared and readily available, monitoring lab and equipment needs for proper operations, and recording program schedules and contracts. The Trades Program Support Technician will also be called on to support college partner interactions and special events.


* This is a grant-funded position, and continuation of employment is based on funding availability.*

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Significant work experience within a trade-related field and occupation
  • Prior experience supporting, delivering, or developing training.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of and ability to use various software, including word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, database, and communication packages.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices in an industrial setting.
Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation.
Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex administrative tasks.
  • Must have the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to work at all campus locations.
Additional Considerations
  • Multiple years of experience in a trade-related field
  • Multiple years of prior support, teaching, or training experience in a workplace or community/technical college setting.
