Now Hiring:Ticket Seller – Hampton Coliseum (WAE/Part-Time)
Looking to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where every shift brings a new event? Join the team at the Hampton Coliseum and be part of delivering unforgettable experiences to our community! As a Ticket Seller, you’ll be the first point of contact for patrons attending concerts, sporting events, family shows, and more.
Typical Responsibilities:- Sell computerized, hard, and roll tickets accurately and efficiently
- Process “Will Call” tickets using a computerized ticketing system
- Handle cash drawers and reconcile ticket sales (cash, checks, credit cards, coupons)
- Provide event and venue information in person and over the phone
- Resolve ticket issues and deliver exceptional customer service
- Assist the Box Office Manager with additional duties as needed
- Perform other related tasks to support event operations
- High school diploma or GED required
- Cash handling experience preferred
- Strong math skills (must be able to make change quickly without a calculator)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse populations and foster positive public relations
- Comfortable using computers and standard office equipment
- Ability to account for large sums of money and follow cash handling procedures
- Must be eligible to be bonded
- Must successfully pass a background check before any offer of employment or promotion.
- Schedule varies based on the Coliseum event calendar
- Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts required
- May work in temporary box office locations on Coliseum property
- Non-exempt position
- The incumbent may be considered “essential personnel” during city emergencies, or at the direction of the City Manager or designee, which may include long hours and unusual schedules.
