Job Summary
:
Performs a variety of accounting clerical duties involved in maintaining projects and grants records, reimbursements, reconciliations, verifying financial activity, and preparing periodic reports.
Essential Job Functions

- Maintains and updates computerized project and grant records.
- Enters invoice information to create project invoice proposals for reimbursements.
- Reviews invoices and payment records for reimbursements; makes sure the project postings match invoices; prepares support for reimbursements.
- Reconciles expenses and project postings.
- Enters data into projects and grants systems.
- Verifies calculation of project expense information.
- Tracks reimbursements to ensure timely payment and recording.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills essential to Job Functions
:
Basic knowledge of accounting methods and processes as they relate to revenue accounting. Practical knowledge of computerized accounting systems. Ability to enter data into accounting records accurately. Ability to review and consolidate large volumes of data into logical, consistent format.
Required Software Knowledge and Skills essential to Job Functions
:
Proficiency in using computer systems and the listed software applications associated with performance of assigned work is essential. Basic problem‑solving skills associated with software applications used is expected. Software usage relevant to job duties will be evaluated.

Qualifications
Training and/or Education
:
Possession of a High School diploma or GED certificate. Accounting or bookkeeping courses.
Required Experience
:
One year of experience in accounting clerical work, data entry, or related experience. One-year experience in the use of commercial word processing and spreadsheet software packages.
