Staff Accountant

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting has partnered with a privately held organization in the Seacoast area who is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with reporting and general financial activities. This is an on-site role working closely with a small finance team and offers exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities.

• Maintain accurate financial records including AP, AR, and general ledger entries
• Complete bank reconciliations and ensure transactions are recorded properly
• Assist with monthly close activities and internal reporting
• Prepare balance sheet and income statement reports
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts
• Help with year-end requirements and audit preparation
• Assist with payroll processing across multiple entities (training provided)
• Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2–5+ years of accounting experience required – this is not an entry level role
• Experience with full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations)
• Payroll exposure a plus (multi-entity helpful, but not required)
• Comfort learning new systems — Quick Books experience helpful but not required
• Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a small office environment
• Full-time on-site role, Monday–Friday
• Standard work hours (approx. 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Salary range: $60–75K
