About the Role: Lead the physical security and safety culture at a Target supply‑chain facility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Executing strategic security routines to identify, prevent, and investigate theft and shortage.
• Operating Target‑owned vehicles for yard and perimeter patrols.
• Leading or supporting asset‑protection projects and enterprise‑wide initiatives.
• Executing emergency procedures and protocols, including incident notification to building leadership.
• Supporting onboarding of new Asset Protection team members.
• Reviewing and updating routine documentation.

Qualifications:

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and remain calm during crisis situations.
• Proven ability to work with highly confidential information.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and remain composed in a fast‑paced environment, accomplishing multiple tasks independently.
• Capability to work in varied temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing patrols and other routine duties.
• Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to be trained on and operate powered equipment safely (including pallet rider, scissor lift, sit‑down & stand‑up forklift) and work at heights up to 40 ft.
• Ability to operate technology systems with minimal direction after training.
• Ability to document cases using industry case‑management systems.
• Reliable and prompt attendance.
• Prior experience in loss prevention, shortage mitigation, security, or similar preferred but not required.
• Ability to be trained and apply de‑escalation tactics.
• Ability to conduct internal and external patrols frequently throughout a shift.
• Ability to respond quickly and safely to security incidents in all locations on property, including stairwells, rooftops, truck yard, mezzanine, automation/technology areas, and trailers.
