Site Engineer at XYZ Reality

XYZ Reality is the creator of the world’s first and only engineering-grade Augmented Reality solution, purpose built for the construction industry. We use the Atom headset to overlay 3D BIM models on site, allowing teams to spot clashes and errors in real time, keeping projects on schedule and on budget.

• Conduct daily site inspections using the Atom (Augmented Reality headset) to verify work is installed correctly, referencing the BIM model.
• Use a total station to set and traverse control points.
• Communicate with clients and provide regular updates.
• Produce daily inspection reports.
• Attend meetings to coordinate with contractors and plan daily activities.
• Process and review all acquired data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Report to the Field Operations Manager and maintain an efficient workflow, ensuring inspections are completed within the specified timeframe.
• Collaborate with contractors to create a weekly look‑ahead of inspections based on the master construction programme to de‑risk incorrect installation.
• Obtain and prepare the latest approved Revit models for export into Holo Site.

• 2+ years relevant experience in a field engineer or surveying role, ideally using a total station or laser scanners.
• Preferred qualification in construction, land surveying, civil engineering, geospatial or geodetic engineering (not essential).
• Strong work ethic, ambition and interest in new technology.
• Knowledge of 3D software such as Revit or Navisworks, or BIM/BIM
  360 (desirable, can be taught).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Essential:
  Clean criminal record and willingness to undergo background checks and drug tests due to project security requirements.
