Safety Manager

We are seeking a dayshift, contract Safety Manager to support a large-scale construction project in Hampton, GA.

The Safety Manager will play a critical role in ensuring a safe work environment, maintaining compliance with all applicable safety regulations, and fostering a strong safety culture across the job site. OSHA 500 certification is required, with additional certifications such as OSHA 510, ASP, or similar strongly preferred.

• Oversee daily safety operations on an active construction site
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company safety policies, and local regulations
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, documenting findings and corrective actions
• Lead and facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and subcontractors
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports, and implement preventative measures
• Partner with project managers, supervisors, and trade partners to promote and maintain a strong safety culture
• Maintain accurate safety records and compliance documentation

• 5+ years of safety management experience within construction or industrial environments
• OSHA 500 certification required; OSHA 510, ASP, or similar certifications strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
• Knowledge of State and Local Codes, CFR 29, 1926, and NFPA 70E
• Experience conducting incident investigations and determining root causes
• Proficient with computers, phones, and standard office equipment
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field preferred but not required
• Additional certifications such as CSP or CHST are a plus
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment
