Position Summary

Responsible for buying production materials, MRO, packaging materials, maintenance supplies office supplies, and equipment and rental contracts. Ensures all proper documentation is on file (insurance documents, workers’ comp, etc.) for outside service suppliers. Ensures correct quantities while receiving in material and correct paperwork from vendors, does same for shipping product to the customer after proper packaging.

Position Responsibilities

• Review weekly shortages reports to identify demands based on customer orders and due dates.
• Places Purchase Orders based on ABC procedures and customer demands and manages delivery quantities to minimize direct material inventory exposure.
• Does all day-to-day shipping, receiving and packaging.
• Prepares all material and issues to kits to the floor or solder lab.
• Participates on the Supply Chain Team.
• Manages the up-to-date documentation files.
• Manages the Kanban programs.
• Monitor and follow up on placed Purchase Orders to ensure deliveries are scheduled appropriately and deliveries are executed on time.
• All other duties as may be assigned.

Position Requirements

• High School Graduate with minimum of one to two years industrial purchasing experience or equivalent. Undergraduate degree is preferred.
• Basic PC operation, math skills, typing, written/oral communication, blueprint reading, and good basic supervisory skills.
