Job Description

The Preventative Maintenance Tech & Sanitation Lead will oversee our sanitation team while also acting as a key player on our maintenance crew. In this dual role, you’ll ensure our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety while keeping our equipment running smoothly through a robust preventative maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities Sanitation & Safety
  • Oversee Sanitation Operations: Lead the sanitation team, enforcing all proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean facility and a safe, consistent product.
  • Verify Compliance: Utilize our Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) to verify that all sanitation activities meet company and regulatory expectations, including USDA regulations, SQF, and GMP guidelines.
  • Document & Report: Complete all required documentation related to sanitation verification and monitor team timecards.
  • Promote a Safety Culture: Actively participate in the company’s safety program, ensuring all team members follow safety practices and use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintenance & Preventative Maintenance (PM)
  • Execute the PM Program: Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and building facilities to proactively prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
  • Respond to Breakdowns: Quickly and effectively repair equipment breakdowns as needed to support continuous production.

    Collaboration:

    Work with the maintenance team to complete all required pre-shift/pre-start checklists and identify and correct problems that negatively impact production.
  • Inventory Management: Support the team in developing and maintaining an organized parts inventory to ensure necessary components are always on hand.
  • Equipment Insight: Advise and provide input on necessary equipment changes and improvements.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • A strong foundation in electrical systems, electronics, pneumatics, fluid power, and power transmission drives.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability for your department and duties.
  • The ability to lead and mentor a team with a positive attitude, helping them achieve their goals.
Physical Requirements
  • This role requires physical dexterity and the ability to work in close quarters. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and safely bend, squat, and maneuver into tight spaces to perform repairs and modifications.
Schedule
  • The standard schedule is Monday through Friday.
  • 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • Weekend and overtime work may be required for major projects and production needs.
