Overview
This opportunity is to work within the Integrated Offender Management (IOM) Team, alongside the central IOM Refresh team and based in the South-Central IOM Team. The role supports reducing re-offending within a collaborative multi-agency context, focusing on keeping the public safe and helping individuals turn their lives around.

Responsibilities- Undertake the full range of work with people on probation before and after sentence, including assessment, sentence implementation, offender management, and producing reports.
- Provide case management support to a full range of people on probation, using service procedures and practice directions that underpin professional judgement.
- Right to work in the UK. Civil Service nationality rules apply.
- Skilled Worker visa changes from 22 July 2025: this role is not eligible for a new Skilled Worker visa; if you have held a Skilled Worker visa continuously, raise this during pre-employment checks for eligibility assessment under current immigration rules.
- Have and maintain the legal right to live and work in the Civil Service and in the United Kingdom.
- Complete a short application form and respond to Civil Service Behaviours and Experience-based questions.
- Sit the Civil Service Judgement Test (CSJT), a two-part assessment of decision-making related to civil service behaviours. A practice test is available before the main test.
- Information on reasonable adjustments, the CSJT, and related details is available in the provided resources during the application process.
- Successful applicants may be based at a variety of office, court, team, or prison locations within the Probation Service region; allocations will be made according to business need.
- Following CSJT and application sift, candidates may be invited to interview. Information will be provided at each stage.
