Industrial Electrician

We are working with a respected engineering business specialising in pump rental solutions who are seeking an Industrial Electrician to join its regional engineering team, supporting branches and customer sites across Eastleigh and the surrounding area. Known for reliability and technical excellence, the company delivers high-quality electrical and mechanical services to critical infrastructure and construction projects nationwide.
This is a field-based role covering installation, maintenance, service, and repair of electrical and mechanical pump systems, both in-branch and on-site.
The Mobile Electrician will ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to industry standards – representing the business professionally at every stage.
Key

Duties & Responsibilities
 
* Install, test, maintain, service, and repair electrical and mechanical pump sets and associated equipment.
 
* Work across branch and customer sites to support reactive and planned maintenance activity.
 
* Carry out fault finding, wiring modifications, and testing to current I.E.E. Wiring Regulations.
 
* Prepare repair estimates, maintain accurate records, and update internal systems.
 
* Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, site procedures, and company SHEQ policies.
 
* Participate in the on-call rota and respond to urgent breakdowns when required.
 
* Maintain high standards of vehicle, tool, and workspace condition.
 
* Communicate effectively with managers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of service.
Skills & Experience Required
 
* Proven experience as an Electrician within industrial, commercial, or utilities environments.
 
* ECS Gold Card – Installation Electrician.
 
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations with AM2 assessment.
 
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382).
 
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, health and safety regulations, and technical schematics.
 
* Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and IT systems including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
 
* Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 
* Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).
