Maintenance Worker, Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs maintenance and repairs on assigned Agency Facilities. Repairs may include but are not necessarily limited to plumbing, electrical work and carpentry. Maintain all facilities in a safe and orderly manner.

• Perform plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs as necessary where code permits, as well as painting, spackling, and other repairs as required.
• Perform periodic inspection of all Agency Facilities.
• Prioritize facility repairs and develop a schedule for completion.
• Recommend maintenance equipment needs to supervisor.
• Perform emergency repairs during off hours as needed.
• Keep the assigned maintenance vehicle clean and organized for ease of access and safety.
• Notify supervisor when the assigned vehicle requires repair or service (oil changes, etc.).

As required by supervisor.

• General knowledge of building maintenance and/or general construction.
• Ability to interact with contractors, and CCDOT staff.
• Basic computer skills.
