Pharmacy Technician (Full‑time, 2nd Shift) – Marlton

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices, including greeting, eye contact, courtesy, proactive help, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied.
• Develop strong relationships with key customers.
• Assist in pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision, reviewing and complying with Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, fill prescriptions, verify correct medication, check for interactions.
• Assist pharmacists with scheduling and workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies and Quality Improvement Program.
• Follow Good Faith Dispensing policy during dispensing activities.
• Operate cash register, handle cash, guide customers to OTC aisle when possible.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention.
• Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services.
• Lead pharmacy inventory management: order, unpack, check shipments, file claims for overages, shortages, errors.
• Assist pharmacy management in analyzing financial, customer service, and inventory performance data.
• Support clinical services, including sample collection and labeling; coordinate with Walgreens clinics and external providers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local medical community, outreach to health groups, retirement homes, nursing homes.
• Support Pickup program.
• Maintain departmental cleanliness and stocking.
• Coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers on processes and tools.
• Comply with all policies, maintain respectful coworker relationships, complete special assignments as assigned.

• Maintain PTCB or ExCPT certification through designated programs.
• Attend training, complete PPLs requested by manager, acquire continuing education credits.
• Keep knowledge and skill current in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (exceptions noted).

• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Basic math skills (counting, measuring, weighing medications).
• Basic PC skills (startup, shutdown, mouse use, program switching, file saving, printing, online access).
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
