Job DetailsFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Hammonton, New Jersey. The role involves delivering patient care, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, supported by a clinical team.
QualificationsRequired:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred:
- Doctorate degree in physical therapy
- Physical Therapy experience; new grads are welcome
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs
- Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain
- Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration of devices
- Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self-management
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Engage in quality assurance and professional development to stay current with best practices
- Assist in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home-based settings
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication
- English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and PC skills
- Physical abilities: able to remain stationary, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push/pull, and bend
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate with a variety of personnel
- Technical/motor skills for procedures and equipment
- Mental requirements: ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle varying schedules
