We are seeking detailed-orientated and highly organized Verification of Employment Specialist. In this role, you will reach out to the responsible parties and confirm an employee’s work history, position, and tenure based on established company guidelines. You will ensure timely, accurate, and compliant responses while safeguarding the employee data.
Responsibilities- Perform employment and income verifications.
- Verify the accuracy of information provided in applications or documents against official records.
- Enter verified data into the company’s database or information system accurately.
- Communicate with customers to gather additional information or clarify discrepancies.
- Adhere to legal standards and company policies during the verification process.
- Address and resolve any issues or inconsistencies found during the verification process.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure the integrity of the verification process.
- Outbound calls to employers to verify employment details.
- Use all available resources such as automated system and documents to perform the verification prior to conducting a verification to employers.
- Handle multiple call attempts to verify authorized contact person (“Call”), which may include additional research (“Research”), document call outcomes (“Note”), and provide verification form to the authorized contact person (“Email” or “Fax”).
- Send Verification of Employment and Authorization Forms to employers.
- Add notes in the system.
- Leave a voicemail and schedule a call to authorize verifiers.
- High accuracy and quality of work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using spreadsheets, email, and web-based tools.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines.
- Experience in financial accounts or real estate processes is an advantage.
- High school graduate or equivalent; college education is a plus but not required.
- Customer focused, with a passion for support.
- Acts with integrity, honesty, tolerance and inclusion.
- Action-oriented and responsive.
