Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Part Time PRN (Summerfield of Hammond)

Summerfield of Hammond is looking for a reliable, compassionate LPN to care for our residents in a professional and considerate manner. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. The role includes supervision of CNAs while on duty.

This position is part‑time from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am. The pay rate starts at $25 /hr with weekend shift differential pay. No medication administration.

• Monitor residents’ condition, ADLs and assist in composition of care plans and needs
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with residents’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and instructions

• Proven experience as an LPN or similar role in an assisted living community or long‑term care facility
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work within a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to calmly handle stressful situations
• Experience with dementia/memory loss preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Point Click Care  or similar programs
• Successful completion of LPN license program. Licensure in LA required.

This is a part‑time position.

Starting $25.00
