General Description

Roll Plate for Shop & Field Jobs. Ensure the programs are loaded into the machine by setting the required parameters for each job. Fits & tacks when needed, Layout nozzle holes & bolt holes in Plate. Operates hand cutting torch & track torch. Some plate grinding. Load & unload Plate. Help in various shop tasks.

• Follows specific work orders as given by Shop Foreman.
• Ensure correct measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation
• Plans work in logical sequence and determines tolls/equipment needed to perform in safe and productive manor.
• Bolts, clamps and tack weld parts to secure for welding, such as braces and strong backs.
• Cuts, grinds, threads pipe and or Plate according to Job specifications.
• Cleans tools, equipment, materials and specified work areas as needed.
• Maintain maintenance and upkeep on plate rolling machine.
• Crane inspections.

Qualification Standards:

• Two years experience.
• Undergo baseline audio.
• Pass drug screen.
• Pass employer performance test.

• High School or GED preferred but not required.
• Trade School program preferred but not required.
