Customer Service Associate - Temporary at Walgreens.

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on the assigned cash register, provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly and efficient checkout service.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits such as greeting, eye contact, courtesy, and Walgreens service traits such as offering help proactively, identifying needs, and servicing until satisfied.
• Provide courteous, friendly, fast and efficient service.
• Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade‑up and/or companion items.
• Register customer purchases on the cash register, collect cash, distribute change, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records; check in and price merchandise as required or directed by the store manager or shift leader.
• Implement company asset‑protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco).
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super‑structures, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies; for consum'amour items, assist in stock rotation using the first‑in, first‑out method and restock outs.
• Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, creative machine, and suggestive sale of promotional photo products
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders, fill items, deliver orders to customers).
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attend+# training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
