• Provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
• Serve as the front-line manager to develop tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives.
• Advise and act as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
• Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, develop local partnerships, and manage office community involvement.
• Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
• Serve as the point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and ensure clients are scheduled properly with conflicts resolved.
• Lead daily activities to ensure work is completed on time with quality, and manage schedules, timekeeping, and overtime.
• Train and coach associates to execute on Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions; lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information.
• Prepare tax returns as required and conduct timely performance reviews; address performance concerns in collaboration with the Associate Relations Center.

• Prior experience in a customer service, shift leader, or similar role; experience supervising or managing people.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
• Annual continuing education and ability to meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible work schedule and adaptability in assignments based on business needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
• Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industries is a plus.
