Senior Social Worker – Looked After Children

London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham

Up to £38 per hour

This role focuses on delivering high-quality statutory services for children in care within the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. You will manage complex case planning, participate in emergency rotas, and collaborate with multi-agency partners like the police and health authorities to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable young people.

Core Responsibilities

* Provide a service in line with statutory requirements and departmental priorities.

* Responsible for individual client case planning in line with the professional standards of the Department.

* Respond to the public and other agencies by telephone, correspondence, and direct contact.

* Liaise with relevant external agencies such as the police and health authority.

* Liaise with colleagues in other Divisions and Council Departments to ensure integrated support.

Team Participation & Development

* Participate in regular supervision to ensure high practice standards.

* Attend and contribute to team meetings.

* Participate in training as required for the interest of the service and career development.

* Participate in the emergency duty rota within the specific requirements of the role.

* Maintain accurate records using written recording and new technology where appropriate.

Requirements

* Experience:

Substantial experience in a statutory Children’s team, preferably within LAC.

* Registration:
Current Social Work England registration.

* Qualifications:

A recognized Social Work degree or equivalent
