Seasonal Neighborhoods Support Staff

This position involves a seasonal worker for the Department of Neighborhoods who will report to the Executive Director of Neighborhood Services. The seasonal worker’s primary duties will involve transporting The Cube and Cube2 to events and project work; working events during the workday, evenings, and weekends to enhance City and neighborhood pride; and loading and unloading supplies between The Cube and Cube2 as needed.

• Vehicle Operation: Responsible for driving a truck with a trailer attached to various locations.
• Schedule: Requires availability for 6-32 hours per week, working evenings and weekends, along with working normal office hours.

• Assists with special events including, but not limited to festivals, parades, and evening/weekend events as assigned.

• Knowledge of the practices, tools and materials involved in the performance of semi-skilled tasks within the work area assigned.
• Ability to lead, make decisions, follow instructions and to exercise normal caution.
• Ability to perform semi-skilled tasks without close supervision.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
• Ability to get along well with fellow employees and the public.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret applicable City ordinances relevant to work performed.
• Ability to operate mobile technology devices and software.

• Must be at least 18 years of age; and
• Must possess a valid driver's license. Must attach to application; and
• Must be responsible for driving a truck with a trailer attached to various locations (No previous experience required); and
• Must be available to work 6-32 hours per week, working evenings and weekends, along with working normal office hours.

• Experience performing relevant duties for previous employer(s).
• Completion of a standard high school education.
