The Nurse Program Supervisor works in collaboration with the Director, local community and lead agency framework to ensure program model is implemented in aurcordance with established standards. This role utilizes principles of supervision, reflective practice, and staff development to provide consistent support and effective day to day program oversight. The Program Supervisor also fosters and models a strengths-based, client-centered culture across the program.
Qualifications- Registered Nurse License
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or relevant graduate degree (e.g. MSN OR MPH) with at least 2 years of experience preferred
- Strong background in relevant clinical nursing experience, such as pediatrics, postpartum, lactation consultant, etc
- Experience in conducting home visiting services preferred.
- Experience with reflective supervision practice.
- Experience working with diverse populations, communities and organizations.
- Willingness/ability to work as a team member.
- Understanding of or experience with supervising staff with humility, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with the management team and local agencies.
- Experience with family services that embraces the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision.
- Knowledge of prenatal and post-natal health, newborn care, and dynamics of child abuse and neglect.
- Experience supporting culturally diverse communities/families.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and team building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Computer competency.
- History of good job attendance.
- Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable disease.
Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non‑prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
