Position Summary
We are seeking entry-level, part-time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate to join our pawn store locations nationwide. The role focuses on customer service, sales, and processing transactions for jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The associate greets, engages, and resolves customer inquiries to provide a positive customer experience. The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.
CompensationPay range: $11.00 to $14.00 per hour

Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance, with the possibility of an average additional amount per hour on top of base pay. Commission details are provided during the interview process.

- Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Perform non-management open/close procedures.
- Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
- Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Answer incoming calls per company standards.
- Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and effective communication tools.
- Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully complete the assigned training.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting) in accordance with federal, state, local law.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- Employees may assist customers on exterior areas or retrieve products stored in exterior storage buildings or other areas within property boundaries.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations; cash handling experience is preferred.
- Should be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
