Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in precision component production, is seeking a Screw Machine Operator 2nd Shift to join their dedicated team. As a Screw Machine Operator 2nd Shift, you will be an integral part of the Screw Department supporting a team committed to quality and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Screw Machine Operator 2nd Shift
Location: Hamilton, OH
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Shift: Monday through Thursday, 4pm-2am, with overtime on Fridays
What's the Job?- Perform machine setup and operation on Acme and Davenport screw machines
- Load bar stock, fill fluids, and remove chips from machines to ensure smooth operation
- Adjust tooling, sharpen tools, and perform tool changes to meet specifications
- Maintain conformance with quality standards and specifications
- Assist colleagues with troubleshooting, tool changes, and maintenance activities
- Relevant work experience in machine operation, maintenance, or related trades
- Ability to perform standard math calculations for machine adjustments
- Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with tools and machinery
- Good reasoning skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively
- Completion of trade school or equivalent experience preferred
