Job Title: Screw Machine Operator 2nd Shift
Location: Hamilton, OH 45015
Pay Rate: $19 – $21/hr
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM (Overtime on Fridays as needed)
Openings: 3 (Contract-to-Hire)

Overview

The Screw Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating Acme and Davenport screw machines to produce precision components that meet quality and production specifications. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with machinery and tools in a manufacturing environment. The position supports continuous production operations while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Job Specifications
  • Set up and operate Acme and Davenport screw machines to manufacture parts according to specifications
  • Load bar stock, replenish fluids, and remove metal chips from machines during operation
  • Perform tooling changes, tool sharpening, and machine adjustments to maintain product quality
  • Ensure all finished parts conform to required quality standards and specifications
  • Assist with troubleshooting machine issues and performing minor maintenance as needed
  • Support other operators with setup, adjustments, and operational guidance
  • Participate in training and development activities to expand machine operation knowledge
  • Perform standard math calculations to support machine adjustments and measurements
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company manufacturing guidelines
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in machine operation, mechanical work, maintenance, automotive repair, or trade school training preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and machinery required
  • Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
