Saw Setup & Run Operator – 2nd Shift
Location: Hamilton, OH 45015
Pay rate: $20 - $23/ hr
Work schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:00pm–2:00am; OT Fridays

The Saw Setup & Run Operator is responsible for setting up and operating saws according to print specifications to meet customer orders and production standards. This role requires strict adherence to ISO requirements, safety protocols, and housekeeping standards while ensuring quality, efficiency, and proper documentation throughout the manufacturing process.
Job Specifications- Set up and operate saws to meet print specifications, shop orders, and inspection chart requirements.
- Maintain required production standards and support workflow needs.
- Work at various workstations as needed to meet production demands.
- Inspect products using calipers, tape measures, and squares to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Perform rework on nonconforming products when required.
- Complete all documentation associated with saw operations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
- Train new employees assigned to the area as needed.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.
- Complete required safety, quality, and ISO training.
- Understand saw operation and its role within the manufacturing process.
- Stop operations and escape issues when questions or problems arise.
- Perform daily maintenance duties and complete related documentation.
- Demonstrate machine start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Identify emergency stops, safety guards, and proper guard operation.
- Understand machine cycles and control panel functions.
- Adjust rams, blades, material stops, and clamps.
- Use measuring tools including calipers, angle gauges, and tape measures.
- Load materials into machines safely.
- Understand quality requirements and complete all associated paperwork.
- Properly and safely stack parts.
- Understand product routing and next operational steps.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply basic and intermediate mathematical concepts including fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and basic geometry.
- Strong reasoning and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions and data.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a production environment.
Required:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and mathematical functions.
Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
No certificates, licenses, or registrations required.
Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools and controls.
Regular lifting of up to 55 lbs.
Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
