The Painter / Powder Coater is responsible for powder coating and/or painting a variety of manufactured products. This role supports production quality by operating coating systems, ensuring proper application and curing, and maintaining coating equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.

• Operate powder coating and paint systems, including loading and spraying powder or paint.
• Hang and unhang uncoated products.
• Operate curing ovens and ensure proper bake cycles.
• Perform setup tasks including changing powders or paints and adjusting spray equipment.
• Ensure finished products meet quality specifications and standards.
• Assist with troubleshooting and basic maintenance of coating equipment.
• Support and train team members in powder coating and painting operations.

• 1–5 years of related experience in powder coating, painting, or similar manufacturing roles.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, electro‑mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Lockout‑Tagout (LOTO) training required.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and correspondence.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read machine drawings and use hand and power tools.

• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 35 lbs regularly.
• Frequent use of hands and arms to handle tools and materials.
• Visual acuity for close, color, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
