MBS Pro Staffing is seeking a high-impact Azure Engineer / Borderline Architect to support cloud modernization initiatives across client environments. This role is focused less on long-term maintenance and more on new builds, migrations, modernization projects, and architectural evolution within Microsoft Azure.
The ideal candidate brings strong working knowledge across Azure services and SKUs, understands how to design and deploy production-grade cloud environments, and can operate across hybrid cloud, networking, and infrastructure domains. This individual will participate in the on-call rotation and must be capable of supporting MBS Pro Staffing's own cloud and network operations, not Azure in isolation.
This role requires technical depth balanced with adaptability. Certifications are valued, but practical execution and learning agility are more important.

- Work incidents and service requests within an ITIL-aligned framework, utilizing ITSM tooling to document, prioritize, and resolve issues in accordance with SLAs and change management processes
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and repeatable deployment patterns
- Support Center Grid internal cloud and network environments as part of on-call rotation
- Comfortable working in an MSP-style environment supporting multiple client environments
- Operate independently with minimal oversight
- Priorities based on business impact and SLA expectations
- Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and learning agility
- Participates in on-call rotation for cloud and network events
- 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience
- 3+ years of hands‑on Azure implementation experience
- Experience designing and deploying Azure environments (not just maintaining existing ones)
- Strong understanding of Azure SKUs including compute, storage tiers, networking, and security services
- Experience with hybrid environments and on‑prem to Azure migrations
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, VPN, peering, firewall concepts)
- Experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, and hybrid identity
- Comfortable participating in on‑call support rotations
- Azure Solutions Architect-level exposure (certification preferred but not required)
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions in Azure
- Familiarity with Microsoft security tooling (Defender, Sentinel, conditional access)
- Experience in Managed Services or consulting environments
