As a Process Control Software Engineer at Musson Industrial, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team committed to shaping the future of automation and industrial process control.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting‑edge process control systems for various process industries, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to understand client requirements, develop functional specifications, and design efficient control strategies that optimize process performance.
  • Program and configure advanced control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human‑Machine Interfaces (HMI), and SCADA systems.
  • Conduct in‑depth analysis of process data to identify areas for improvement, and devise creative control solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.
  • Oversee system testing, commissioning, and start‑up activities, ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality of control systems.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to ensure project objectives are met within established timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in process control technologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Programming, Electrical, Chemical, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in process controls engineering, with a focus on automated solutions for the process industries.
  • Knowledge of control system design principles, including control algorithms and loop tuning.
  • Extensive experience in programming and configuring DCS, PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
  • Ignition Gold Certification (preferred) to showcase expertise in Ignition’s advanced industrial automation software platform.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC, Modbus, Profibus).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within specified deadlines.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving skills and adeptness in troubleshooting complex control system issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $145,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
