This instructor will teach Project Lead the Way courses to high school students. Courses taught during the  school year may include Principles of Biomedical Science, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Interventions, and Biomedical Innovations. These courses combine rigorous academics with the knowledge and skills to prepare students for diverse long‑term careers in health care, research, specialized laboratory work, education, and management in the biomedical field.

Students will also participate in the career technical skills organization HOSA.

Teach PLTW courses and guide students through curriculum, assessments, and practical labs; collaborate with other teachers and administrators; support student participation in extracurricular activities such as HOSA; maintain accurate records and report student progress; fulfill any additional duties as assigned.

• Appropriate licensure or certification through the Ohio State Board of Education or ability to obtain proper licensure. Applicants must meet one of the following:
• • Current licensure in one of the following areas:
    • 132010 Integrated Science
    • 132030 Life Science
    • 074850 Biotechnology
    • 070998 Diversified Health Occupations
    • 074820 Diagnostic Pathway
    • 070904 Medical Assisting
    • 070303 Nurse Assisting
    • 070305 Surgical Technology
    • 074830 Therapeutic Pathway
  • Work experience and/or educational attainment in related field as outlined below and ability to complete Ohio's alternative teacher licensure process, including university coursework:
    • Bachelor's or master's degree outside the content area and five years of relevant work experience; or
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in the content area and two years of relevant work experience;
• Must successfully complete the Project Lead the Way teacher pre‑assessment.
• Must successfully complete the Project Lead the Way Summer Training Institute in Summer 2026 if credential not already held.
• Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers, and administrators as a team member.
• Computer expertise appropriate to the position.
• Effective and demonstrated problem‑solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills.
• State‑issued identification card with photograph.
• History of strong work record, including good job attendance.
• Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.

Based upon experience and education ($52,819 – $110,180)
