Position: 2026 - 2027 High School Construction Instructor
| POSITION Construction Instructor

| LOCATION Fairfield Township Campus, D Russel Lee Building

| GENERAL DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dynamic instructor to work with high school students pursuing a Construction program. Hands-on, lab-based training and co-op opportunities will allow students to launch a career in the construction field and connect them directly to employers and industry mentors.

Areas of focus include:
Estimate, layout, cut, and install framing for walls, floors, roofs, and stairs;
Estimate, layout, cut, and install exterior finish materials;
Estimate, mix, place, and finish concrete;
Introduction to blueprint reading; and Power and hand tool safety.

Students will earn the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety industry credential. Students will also participate in the career technical student organization Skills

USA.

| QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum of five years related work experience;

* Must meet ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

* Willingness & ability to complete Ohio's alternative teacher licensure process AND high school diploma AND at least 5 years of relevant work experience OR

* Current Ohio State Board of Education licensure in one of the following

* Carpentry 171001;

* Construction Management 171806;

* Electrical Trades 171002;

* Successful completion of a registered apprenticeship program preferred;

* Current National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Instructor certification or willing to obtain;

* Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;

* Computer expertise appropriate to the position;

* Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;

* Valid driver license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance;

* History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and

* Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.

| STARTING DATE August 2026

| SALARY Based upon experience and education ($52,)

| BENEFITS Includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; tuition reimbursement

| WORK YEAR 185 days - 7.5 hours/day
