Position
Behavior Intervention Coach – full time, starting August 2026. Salary based on the approved Governing Board Salary Schedule. WORK YEAR: full time. DEADLINE: until filled.

The behavioral intervention coach will provide educational coaching to teachers of contracted districts in the areas of specialized instruction, comprehensive curriculum design, classroom management, behavioral intervention, academic supports, strategies and interventions for students identified with autism spectrum disorder, other low‑incidence disabilities as well as those identified students that are having significant behavioral difficulties within the classroom environment.
Qualifications- A Bachelor’s degree and valid Ohio Department of Education teaching license with coursework in special education.
- Board‑certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or coursework toward certification.
- Extensive knowledge of special education and behavioral intervention practices.
- Three years of successful teaching experience working with special education students, including those with intensive behavioral needs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory standards, district policies related to special education and restraint and seclusion policies.
- Good organizational skills.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of district staff, students, parents and the general public.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to handle problem situations in a tactful, courteous and respectful manner.
- Ability to analyze and summarize data related to assessment results and develop plans of action to address a variety of behavioral issues and concerns.
- Skills necessary to provide guidance, training, modeling of behavioral practices and interventions.
- Ability to adapt and respond to multiple priorities and demands, deal with concerns of staff/students/parents in a timely manner and resolve problem situations in a positive manner.
- Willingness/ability to work with students and parents as a team member.
- Computer expertise appropriate to the position.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
- History of good job attendance.
- Must pass criminal background checks, drug screening, and be free from communicable disease.
