Job Overview
BCRTA Work+ Program supports part‑time employees who are pursuing an undergraduate degree. Eligible part‑time employees are required to work at least 20 hours per week and be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at the start of a semester. The hourly rate for this position is $13.50.
Essential Functions of the Position- Communicate with staff and vendors by phone, email, and written correspondence to convey status of procurements.
- Perform a wide variety of administrative office work with limited supervision, including composing general correspondence and letters.
- Compile and maintain procurement records and files.
- Assist with small purchase planning processes, including processing submitted requisitions and maintaining written procurement history.
- Conduct due diligence research on vendors to determine eligibility for award, including contacting references and documenting all due diligence to report to the Procurement & Compliance Specialist.
- Ensure that contract files are complete and compliant with BCRTA, State, and FTA audit requirements.
- Perform all duties in accordance with internal Procurement Guidelines templates.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Procurement and Compliance Specialist.
- Assist management with special projects, if needed.
- Maintain composure and act thoughtfully under pressure.
- Promote a positive public image of BCRTA.

- Ability to read and interpret documents and instruments.
- Ability to analyze problems and research solutions.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Moderate to advanced exposure to Microsoft Office Suite or a keen desire to learn quickly.
- Working toward a four‑year degree in business, pre‑law, public administration, government history, or another related field.
- In progress four‑year degree with Miami University Regional Campuses.
- BS or BA degree.
- Clean motor vehicle record, no more than 2 points.
Constant periods of hearing, near and far acuity, depth perception, and color vision. Frequent periods of speaking, standing, walking, and sitting. Occasional periods of squatting, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
