Pharmacy Clerk at Express Rx Pharmacy

Express Rx Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Clerk to perform administrative duties in a retail pharmacy setting.

Base Pay Range
: $8.00/hr – $12.00/hr

The Pharmacy Clerk performs many administrative duties, including answering phones, accepting prescriptions, filing records, receiving payment, and acting as cashier. The role requires good customer service skills, organizational detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

• Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening and/or closing.
• Greet customers, answer calls, and field patient questions with a positive attitude.
• Collect payment and insurance information.
• Close and count down registers, and deposit money at the end of day.
• Keep front‑end shelves organized and clean, along with the rest of the pharmacy.
• Make regular OTC inventory checks and order merchandise.
• Follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Move, lift, carry and place merchandise and supplies weighing ≤25 pounds without assistance.
• Perform frequent repetitive motion with hand(s) and arm(s), such as grasping, gripping, and turning.
• Stand and/or walk frequently throughout the work shift.
• Visually locate merchandise and other objects, and verify information, often in small print.

NOTE:

Pharmacy Clerk is prohibited from:
1) Performing the final check of a prescription; and,
2) Performing any type of counseling with patients.

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Proven communication and customer service skills
• Strong math skills required
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Reliable with a keen eye for detail
