They are excited to welcome the next cohort of their Apprenticeship Programme, starting 3rd September 2026. They are recruiting for Apprentice Ground workers in the Scotland West (Hamilton) division – Cumbernauld area (North Lanarkshire)

You’ll work in our Construction team and learn the following:

• Systems of safe working
• Setting out, buried services and ironworks
• Construction methods and communicating with others
• Gauging, mixing, placing, compacting, and finishing construction mortars and concrete (kerbing and shuttering)
• Installing drainage and ducting
• Reinstating excavations and ground surface finishes
• Installing geomembranes

• Willingness to travel and stay away from home occasionally, in line with the block-release commitments for your apprenticeship
• Ability to travel to multiple sites within your division as required

• GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/C+), or willingness to complete Level 2 functional skills
