Service Centre Engineer (Plant)

Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair a wide range of defence and plant machinery and equipment at our service centre duct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal operational performance.
Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new plant equipment.
Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Participate in training programmes to stay updated with the latest technical developments.
Collaborate with the engineering team to improve service processes and equipment reliability.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in servicing and maintaining plant machinery or heavy industrial equipment.
Relevant technical qualifications, such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues clearly to clients and colleagues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to plant machinery and workshop environments.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and computer-based maintenance systems.
Full UK driving licence is essential
HGV Licence - beneficial
Experience with LOLER and PUWER Legislation
