I'm supporting a well-established engineering and electrical services business that, due to continued growth across its High Voltage (HV) operations, is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Authorised Person. This is a critical operational and client-facing role, supporting the delivery of HV installation, maintenance, and commissioning works across private networks and utility-adopted infrastructure up to 33kV.
Responsibilities- As a Senior Authorised Person, you ll play a key role in managing HV construction and maintenance activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with client requirements. Working closely with the HV Operations Manager, project teams, and clients, you ll provide technical leadership, oversee site activities, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Deliver HV installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning works on 11kV-33kV networks.
- Plan and execute HV switching, isolations, earthing, and safety documentation in line with company procedures.
- Manage site delivery to meet specification, programme, and budget requirements.
- Lead Health & Safety on site, ensuring compliance and a strong safety-first culture.
- Provide technical leadership to site teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- HV Senior Authorisation status (DNO or equivalent) with HV Private Networks experience (essential).
- Minimum 5 years experience within an electrical contracting or HV environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of HV switch gear, protection systems, and maintenance practices.
- HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience;
City & Guilds HV Operational Safety. - Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills with strong commercial awareness.
